according to Martha Stout, Ph.D., author of The Sociopath Next Door, the best clue that you are dealing with a sociopath is the pity play.
"The most reliable sign, the most universal behavior of unscrupulous people is not directed, as one might imagine, at our fearfulness," Stout says. "It is, perversely, an appeal to our sympathy."
The combination of consistently bad or inadequate behavior and frequent plays for your pity, Stout continues, is the closest thing to a warning you'll ever get that you are being manipulated by a sociopath.

Manipulation techniques

In her book, Stout also describes other techniques that shameless sociopaths use to keep the rest of us in line. They are:

1. Charm
2. Risk-taking, and convincing others to do it with them
3. Recognizing a person who is decent and trusting—the perfect target
4. Sexual seduction
5. Crocodile tears—especially when sociopaths are about to be confronted
6. Righteous indignation—Plan B when sociopaths are about to be confronted
7. Exploiting social and professional roles
8. Gaslighting—making victims doubt their own perceptions

The term "gaslighting" comes from a 1944 movie called Gaslight, in which gold-digging husband marries a rich, innocent woman and tries to make her feel like she is going insane. Sociopaths are experts at it.

Winning is all

A sociopath has no conscience, no emotional attachment to others, and no ability to love. For a sociopath, Stout says, "life is reduced to a contest, and other human beings seem to be nothing more than game pieces, to be moved about, used as shields or ejected."
So what does a sociopath want? According to Stout, a sociopath wants only to win.

Suppose Mr. or Ms. Caring turns out to be Mr. or Ms. Con Artist; now your bank account is empty and your credit cards are full. Suppose you summon the courage to complain to authorities— Will they help you? Don't count on it.

• Cops and prosecutors know that fraud is difficult to prove. If you had a romantic relationship with the person who defrauded you, you'll need a tremendous amount of proof to get beyond "he said, she said." And prosecutors may still simply decline the case. • You could go to civil court, filing a lawsuit or for divorce. You could win. Then you'll have a judgment that you probably cannot collect—after laying out thousands of dollars in attorney fees.

Our society's legal and financial systems are based on people following the rules. Sociopaths do not follow the rules. Therefore, when it comes to dealing with sociopaths and the damage they cause, the systems are practically useless.

In reality, you have only one option: Learn to recognize the symptoms of a sociopath, and when you see them, cut your losses and get away. Because once you get caught in a sociopath's web of deception, you're on your own.

EYE OPENING REVELATION -THEY LOOK LIKE US

Why are conscience-bound human beings so blind? And why are they so hesitant to defend themselves and the ideals and people they care about, from the minority of human beings who possess no conscience at all?
It has to do with the emotions and thought processes that occur in us when we are confronted with sociopathy. We are afraid, our sense of reality suffers. We think we are imagining things, that we are ourselves somehow responsible for the sociopath's behaviour.

Let us look at the formidable techniques used by the shameless to keep us in line.

• Charm - a primary characteristic of sociopathy.

The intense charm of people who have no conscience, a kind of inexplicable charisma has been observed and reported by countless victims. It is similar to animal charisma of predators.

We have an extremely hard time seeing that a person has no conscience, but a person  who has no conscience can instantly recognize someone who is decent and trusting.

When a sociopath identifies someone as a good game piece, he studies that person. He makes it his business to know how that person can be manipulated and used, and how his chosen pawn can be flattered and charmed.

• Seduction - another very common sociopathic technique. For most people, sexual liaison involves an emotional tie, even if only fleetingly, and such ties are used by coldly remorseless to get what they want - allegiance, financial support, a sense of  'winning'...
• Acting skills. Since the scaffolding of a life without conscience is deception and illusion, intelligent sociopaths become proficient at acting. Visible signs of emotion at will become second nature to the cold-blooded. Crocodile tears are a sociopathic trademark.

Sometimes a cornered sociopath will adopt a posture of righteous indignation and anger in an attempt to scare off his accuser.
We are distracted from a person's actual behaviour when he represents himself as in some way benevolent, creative or insightful.
We try to judge a person's character by his appearance, but this book-by-the-cover strategy is ineffective. in the real world, bad guys do not look the way they are supposed to. On the contrary -

EVERY DAY I WISH...

Every day I wish my story weren't true.

I wish I could rewind my life back to the point where it is not too late and just delete, incise, remove that time, make it unhappen...

He said that people willing to achieve at the position that we are now, will have to do it in at least 2 years as it's getting tougher and tougher for a new company to be approved everywhere our company was approved by. Somehow as I signed the agreements, I can imagine that it is true. The last months i didn't have any feeling or there was no base for me to believe that end the month will start and this is exactly what had to stop. If he says something I want to know on what base he is saying this. Now the matter is that I am going over there, open an office, assign the employee and therefore may build the feeling that it's getting now to its final stage. A final stage is the end of all these waiting and the moment of payback and tranquility. I see when is my flight and when I send you the docs, probably today.
